remnants & gauge, oh my!

So yesterday, I went to JoAnns to comb through their remnant bin and I pulled some things for me to play with when I have my first sewing lesson w/ Grammy on Friday. See that orange fabric that JiJ is laying on?! That's what I'm using for my fantasy football team circes..and remember, my team is named Badazz Cheezit!! Anyhoo..as you can tell, Ji approved of all my picks and blessed them by parking her furry azz on top of them.

Whilst talking to Gnat on fb, I decided, "you know..I'ma do that Shalom as my first knit sweater and rock it at SAFF". So y'all would be so proud of me b/c I did a SWATCH to make sure I got gauge, Gnat helped me find a pattern for bust size 38 and I'm off to the races. This is a big deal.

But the biggest deal of all is that today, my Father-in-law, henceforth known here as "Papa" is headed to Jacksonville today to go to the Mayo Clinic tomorrow. Please send love, light, energy, and prayers to him because we are hopeful that this visit will shed light on some of the issues he's been having with his heart.

Okay, happy Hump Day, bebehs! Fru-out!
