So yesterday was a great day! Tiring but great!
I took advantage of city yoga's week of free classes and went to their all levels class at 12:15. I was terrified and started coming up with excuses and reasons not to go the night before but I didn't weenie out and went. And I'm glad that I did.
The last time I did yoga, it was awful. My body was in terrible shape and I fought with it constantly to get it to go into poses. I think this time around, there is a part of me that acknowledges that while my body is not what it used to be, I am still an athlete.
And when I went into my first Downward-facing Dog, my heart said to my lungs, "breathe", and my body said, "welcome back, old friend".
