If I were a flea....

I'd be running scared today in the Graham household. This story truly begins two months ago...

Two months ago, La'Fru kept noticing that JiJiKitty, pictured here:

Kept scratchin' scratchin' and she called the vet b/c that's what good kitty mamas do. The vet said, "You know, I know you keep your girls indoors but it's entirely possible that a flea jumped on your shoes or pants leg and the girls have them now". So I take this info to Betterhalf who scoffs at the idea and says, "My perfect girls?! No way..not possible, etc."

So I let it go because after 6 years of marriage, I know when to pick my battles. Last weekend, Betterhalf looks up online how to test if the girls have fleas and determines on his own that the girls do in fact have fleas and this..is..just..unacceptable. Mind you, his research started while La'Fru was out in Seattle, as if I could do much on the other side of the country.

So this week, La'Fru contacted the specialist that treated BayBay kitty..also known as Booba, Punkin', NanaPants, Monkin'Doodle..or any other things I can created..pictured here:
In 2004, Nana got deathly ill. As in, in the kitty ICU for a week and we weren't sure she was going to be with us anymore. We weren't able to conclusively find out what happened to make her so ill, but the vet told us to not immunize her anymore and not to have chemicals around her. So I couldn't get in touch with that Vet but I was able to get in touch with the other vet..the one who rox and comes to our house. Yes, our vet comes to our house. Anyhoo...she made recommendations to give the girls Advantage and then deworm them as a precaution.

I was okay with this; Betterhalf got online and proceeded to scare the shit out of himself by reading about too much stuff.

So this is what I envision for fleas vs. Betterhalf & La'Fru:
