That would be Steven David, Jr. And why is he on Fru's blog?

Well..as a boy-crazy, bratty middle schooler, I got the inside track to his vocals. If you'll remember, he was the one who wooed Paula and danced with her during the NC Idol Auditions. I kept saying to Betterhalf, "He looks really familiar". And then when he got booted at the beginning of Hollywood week and they flashed his name on the screen, I knew why.

Many moons ago when Sillyfru was in middle school, she had this friend named Christa. And Christa was mad in love with her boyfriend, Steven. And this was back in the day when 3-way calling was a BIG DEAL. So she'd call me up and then 3-way him and make me listen to him sing New Kids on the Block. Even now, I remember him singing,

Please don't go girrrrrlllllll....

it would ruin my whole world......

Why did I endure this singing madness? Well, Steven had a twin brother named Jamie. I had met Jamie before at a birthday party and I thought he was a cutie. So I endured many horrid performances of the NKOTB to try to win cool points with Jamie.

So..call if Fru's Five Circles of I-don't-give-a-rats..or call it my little brush with fame. I could have told you back then that he was talented...but in a -Monet-looks-good-from-afar-looks-like-azz-up-close kinda way.
