water-birfday-money

So I've been little miss slackbutt when it comes to blogging lately. here's the latest:

Happy birfday, Josephine!! My little brother turned 29 yesterday and he's got more gray hair than I do!!

He celebrated by enjoying himself down on Hilton Head, something I am most envious of.

Sat down with betterhalf after I picked up the taxes from our accountant and I think by the grace of God, we will be able to pay everything, including estimated taxes. Our accountant is AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!! I'm so glad I found her.

So I was thinking about not putting this on the blog but I think it may help me not chicken out.
I'm going to become a water aerobics instructor. I was goofing around a few weeks ago and asked about the process b/c I'm in the water all the time now. And the aquatics director was super supportive and explained to me how it's done. So I go down to Mt. Pleasant, SC on Sept. 26th & 27th for the instruction and training. Then I video tape myself teaching a class (I'm taking volunteers!!) and then send my stuff in.
Why do this, you may ask? Well..first of all...the title, "aerobics instructor" is something that I never ever would have seen to describe me. But after dropping 20 lbs, I'm convinced that the water is the place for me to be. The resistance training is awesome! It's also great for increasing flexibility and for doing a safe cardio work out. Which is most necessary for me as I frequently hurt myself on weight-baring exercises. Also, if I am certified, I can teach classes at the Y or wherever and in return, get to work out and get a free membership to the Y, which is hella-sweeeeet.

Okay, that's all I got today.
